Founded in 1920, IWU has become one of the fastest growing Christian universities in America. Accreditation
IWU is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission* and a member of the North Central Association. Regional accreditation is the highest level of academic accreditation a college or university can obtain and is recognized throughout the United States.
Indiana Wesleyan University's Division of Nursing Education is accredited by the Commission for Collegiate Nursing Education and the Indiana State Board of Nursing. Memberships include the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, the Midwest Alliance in Nursing, and the National Organization for Nurse Practitioner Faculties.
The education unit of Indiana Wesleyan University is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.
